Review Chanel Medium Classic Flap

Ok, the last thing this sub needs is yet another review of the Chanel Medium CF in black, but I want to try and give back to a community that has been awesome to me these past few months.

I’ve wanted this bag forever and never thought it was in reach until I discovered Repladies.

Their assessment was spot on and I’m so thankful they took the time to review because I swear about 30 minutes later I was sending Annie my money. I was about to try and go for a 187 version but this review, and other comments, had me convinced I could realize my dreams at a better price point.

Leather: Holy softness, Batman! This leather is so nice and soft right out of the box. It has a nice sheen and it softened up even more after I did two rounds of leather conditioner, although it probably didn’t need it. The bag feels soft but structured.
Chain: The chain has some real weight to it and doesn’t feel cheap at all. No weird twists or kinks. However, it squeaked really badly at the start. I ended up applying leather conditioner directly to the straps with my bare hands and buffing it with a cloth and after three coats it barely makes a sound. I know this happens with the auths too, but it was just going to drive me nuts. There is one spot where the chain doesn’t pull smoothly but it just required a bit of a tug (-.1). I adjusted it so that spot was at the end and doesn’t go through the grommet so it’s not an issue.
Smell: No fufu smell! This baby is ready to use from the start.

Accuracy - 9.8/10

I’ve only held an auth for a hot minute years ago and I’m too afraid to walk into the Chanel store. The security guard hovers at the entrance like a dragon guarding its hoard. So all my findings are from comparing photos and I am not an expert.

Size: Bag measures 10 in x 6 in x 3 in. Spot on with the auth.
Chain: Length is about an inch too long when doubled up. I actually don’t mind this and it’s so slight I don’t think anyone would notice but it is a small flaw. (-.1)
Hardware: I know gold can be tricky but it looks good to my eye. Not too brassy or too light. The turnlock is centered, moves smoothly and makes a small click when used. No issues closing or opening the button flap. The inside zipper pulls smoothly.
Alignment: I counted 9 stitches for each side of the square. The back pocket looks good. No messy alignment issues on the sides.
Color: Black like the night. It matches my soul. The burgundy interior looks comparable to the auth.
Logo: If I’m going to nitpick to an absurd degree, I could say that the CHANEL looks a smidge too bold and heavy. (-.1) I would never have noticed if I wasn’t looking at four side by side comparison photos and even then I feel like I’m being ridiculous. Honestly, at this point I’m trying to find flaws and failing but I know I have love goggles on so I’m trying to be somewhat critical.

Satisfaction - 10/10

I’m super happy with this bag. The bag is soft and it feels plush when I squeeze it. I just want to keep it in my lap and stroke it like a cat. I live in a large city with lots of wealthy and stylish women. I regularly see Chanel, LV, Gucci and Hermes bags in the wild. I’m going to have no hesitation rocking this bag. I’m excited to try her out on my fancy anniversary dinner next week and to flex at an upcoming wedding.

I was going to go with another seller and another factory and I’m so glad I didn’t. I really don’t think I’ll need to try a higher tier version. For me, the price I paid for the quality of bag I got is fantastic and I think getting a higher tier would only get me miniscule upgrades on details I’m not picky about.

Seller Communication and Service - 10/10

I’m definitely buying from Annie again. She’s the third seller I’ve worked with and by far the best experience I’ve had so far. Annie was incredibly responsive and our conversation in English was almost perfect so I never felt like we were having a miscommunication. I’m always worried about wasting a seller’s time so I typically do all my research up front and know exactly what I want, but she was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable that I wouldn’t feel silly or bothersome asking more questions.

Annie was also super fast with responding and providing PSPs! I understand that many things are out of a seller’s control and, as good sellers get busier and busier, their response times may increase, but Annie provided stellar communication and the exact product I was looking for. I’m already looking to her to get a few more items on my wishlist!

Omg! your bag is gorgeous! this is the hardware i want! Lgw is nice but i think this kind of gold is the best for me and it makes the lambskin leather looks more elegant! S factory is a solid choice at a great price. If you do go with 187 all the reviews and comments show that 187 is awesome and very luxe. Thanks for another CF review. Contemplating on trying the S factory lambskin as well. Is the CC logo tab flimsy? I saw a review on the s factory chanel pearl crush bag in lambskin and the reviewer had a video showing how the tab is so flimsy.
