Review Chanel Dad Sandals…Just in time for Hot Girl Summer
Hello lovely ladies, gents, and non-binary friends of this wonderful community,
I debated if I should write yet another review raving about these atrocious yet amazing shoes, but I figured, why not? Someone will at least get a kick out of it.

Total: 112.3 USD or in my case, 141.77 CAD (I really despise PayPal’s conversion rate)
Story time: I hated the look of Birkenstocks because of the gnarly tan lines that comes with wearing them. Source: Was a lifeguard that spent an entire summer with coworkers with gnarly tans from their Birks. So it comes in an ironic twist of fate, that I fell in love with these dad sandals. My sister is already making fun of the tan lines I am going to get after the summer is over, but I kind of love them too much to care. I also opted for the rubber ones instead of the leather option because I plan on biking a lot since the rubber sandals are lighter and won’t deteriorate as fast as the leather ones.
Timeline:
- May 29: Inquired and paid for sandals same day.
- June 5: Received PSPs and GL right away.
- June 6: Received EMS tracking info
- June 7: Shipped (post office is not open weekends)
- June 14: Delivered!
Actual Review:
1) Quality: 10/10
There is a rubber smell, but that’s to be expected since it is made out of rubber (duh). The rubber and construction seems really sturdy with clean stitching throughout. Right out of the box, the sandals are so comfortable with some rubber cushioning. The Velcro does not feel or look cheap at all and while the buckle and logo is made out of plastic, they are also not flimsy at all. Finally, the soles and slight heel gives the sandals some grip, but does not make it slip-proof (beware of marble floors and wet floors!). I can’t fault the sandals for that as it replicates the authentic and so the quality portion does not lose any points.
2) Accuracy: 9.8/10
The logos on the buckle as well as the Chanel indented on the insoles looks exactly like the authentic. The soles and heel look almost like the authentic, but there seems be some lumps on the right sole (-0.2), but it is on the bottom and will eventually go away with wear. The buckles and straps seems to have the right dimensions and the height of the soles seems to be correct. I can’t say anything about the identification number on the middle strap. Overall, the accuracy portion did very well.
3) Satisfaction: 10/10
They feel great and look amazingly accurate for such a great price. I am a size US 7-7.5, and went with a size 38. They fit great and I had straps that I could tighten to fit my narrow feet. I am so satisfied with these and can’t wait to take these sandals out for a spin. Guys if you’re on the fence about these, just go for them! You won’t regret it.
4) Seller communication & Satisfaction: 10/10
Fisherman does her job really well. I had no problems communicating with her on what I wanted, switching sizes and shipping updates. She’s a busy person and yet still manages to deliver in a timely manner. I would love to buy from her again in the future :)
Conclusion
They’re comfortable and in my opinion, fashionable. They look so much like the authentic and I’m so happy. I can’t think of better biking shoes to the pool (pool sandals and Birks have a high risk of flying off!). I’ll definitely update on the wear and tear of these after a full summer of biking and using them at the pool. Here’s to a hot girl summer! :P

These seemed to be repped so well and I’m so here for it. I wonder if the rubber will be hell for blisters tho? Thats always my fear when going barefoot in sandals. Let me know how they feel out on a walk! ⏤ by fitney123 (↑ 2/ ↓ 0)
├─ Hello! I’ve been on two bike rides and a walk (all at least an hour in duration) since owning these, and I have *slight* blisters. I think it is mostly due to tight straps, but after I readjusted and loosened them, they were fine! Question: I’m a 7.5/8…
Fish said I should get a 38 in these (in leather)- so I ordered 2 pair! My foot is 24 cm. (240 mm exactly)
Should I switch to a 39?!
I haven’t gotten PSP yet so I’m sure I could.
